The Practice of Writing is seeking original craft essays of approximately 1,000 words.
We're looking for practical, engaging essays that combine personal reflection, craft insight, and a generative writing prompt. Whether you're passionate about structure, voice, character, imagery, revision, or any other aspect of the writing life, we'd love to hear your perspective.
Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis.
